The NSW Rail Museum is the main railway museum in New South Wales, Australia. It is located in Thirlmere and was established in 1962 as the New South Wales Rail Transport Museum (NSWRTM). It is now a division of Transport Heritage NSW. A major redevelopment took place in 2009 where the locomotive depot was relocated to a roundhouse. The museum is also accredited as a rail operator meaning it has network access rights on the NSW main line rail network.
