Atelier de Bascoup

The Atelier de Bascoup is located in Chapelle-lez-Herlaimont, in the heart of the Charleroi-Nivelles-Mons triangle. Created in 1912, it is the only workshop that produces track equipment in Belgium. The first new hall in Bascoup is closed and dedicated to mounting track devices on concrete sleepers. The second hall is dedicated to mounting switches on wooden sleepers. The wood of the sleepers requiring special treatment with products to be used in an airy environment, it will be temporarily semi-open. It will be closed completely once all the track devices in the network are made on concrete sleepers.
