The Belgian operator NMBS/SNCB opened the doors of its workshops in 2011. With the Open Days initiavie, the NMBS/SNCB wants to give its customers and the general public a look behind the scenes of the railway company. Many people see the NMBS/SNCB as a whole of trains and stations. But there is a lot involved in getting the trains running. Railway staff works 24 hours a day and seven days a week to get the train passengers to their destination safely and on time.
